LOWER-LEVEL FAMILY GETAWAY RETREAT
Pine Lake Manor offers a number of guest accommodations, but none are more creative and thoughtful as the lower-level family getaway retreat. The owners of the home wanted to cultivate a space that could help parents and children stay comfortably in the same area of the home while still offering separate, tailored accommodations. To do this, the owners worked with our architect and interior designer to develop a plan for three consecutive rooms – a guest bedroom, a full guest bath, and a kid’s bunkbed room. Each room is easily accessible from the downstairs hallway and is perfectly placed adjacent to the game room, lower-level theater area, and kitchenette, providing visiting families with everything they need for their stay.
THE BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms are thoughtfully outfitted with everything guests could need. The parents room faces the lake and offers a beautiful view, plenty of light, and enough room to store luggage and stay comfortably. Tastefully decorated, the room itself is peaceful, clean, and welcoming while also offering modern comforts like full WiFi and TV. It’s a quick trip to the full bathroom next door and the kids’ bunkbed room is just a few steps further. A true delight, the kids’ room features a set of custom bunk beds complete with integrated lighting. There’s enough space to play and explore and is right down the hall from the theater area and kitchenette. Whether getting up for that late-night glass of water or a check in with kids, these rooms are a great place for visiting families to easily relax.
A Spanish Inspired Guest Bathroom
The bathroom between each room adds a touch of chic modernity and elegance to the space. The walk-in shower is enveloped in beautiful blue tile imported from Spain and features custom in-shower shelving and a bench. The custom silver fixtures, including a large overhead showerhead and handheld showerhead, stand out beautifully, completing the shower environment. The bathroom feels complete with a custom vanity, quartz countertop, and linen cabinet designed to match other furniture pieces and fixtures throughout the home.
